Ms. Broughton received her undergraduate degree in Business & Organizational Communication from the University of Kentucky, and she received her Juris Doctor degree from the Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University, where she graduated magna cum laude.

Ms. Broughton concentrates her practice on health care regulatory and compliance matters, representation of health care providers, civil litigation, and white collar criminal defense.

Prior to joining Nicholson & Eastin, LLP, Ms. Broughton gained experience as an insurance defense attorney, particularly with regard to medical malpractice, personal injury and wrongful death cases. In law school, Ms. Broughton was an active member of the Health Law Society, Transactional Law Group, Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity and she earned the Excellence for the Future Award in her Legal Research and Writing course. Also during law school, Ms. Broughton interned for the Business Practice Group of a Fort Lauderdale law firm and interned briefly in the behavioral health and clinical laboratory spaces.
